On April 21, 2010 the master plan for Ha Noi development to 2030 and the vision to 2050 was displayed at the Van Ho Exhibition Centre with local authorities urging the public to provide feedback on the plan.
The construction master plan features many major projects, including the relocation of the government administrative centre, industrial and healthcare establishments and universities to the city’s outlying districts. Major issues such as transport solutions and sustainable development are also addressed in the masterplan.
The public are also urged to comment on technical solutions for infrastructure planning such as measures on flood prevention, water drainage, solid waste treatment, power supply, preservation of local heritage and development of the city’s rural areas.
At present, although the plan has been reported to the Government , the Standing Party Committee, Municipal People’s Committee for collecting opinions and contributions from many scientists through scientific conferences, but there still are many different opinions, especially in matters of urban planning, and relocate a number of universities, a suburban hospital, construction of new countryside, environment …
